"Laid Back/No Hassles Hidden Gem"
What a lovely little hidden treasure. Little Harbor is a quiet and quaint area of Ruskin, Florida. When you travel through Ruskin, it reminds one that there are places in Florida that are no so fast paced and that is what I found in that small town and especially at Little Harbor. The resort offered everything that I needed and a person could stay there for a week without having to leave the resort. The beach area was small and even though there were tons of people at the resort, I was never crowded on the beach or at the pool. (My first day on the beach from 10-2, I saw approximately 20 people sun bathing, walking, wading in the shallows, playing volleyball, or swimming. The most people I ever encountered in the two pools(there are three) that I visited saw approximately 5-10 people swimming or sunning. Hooks was available for lunches and poolside drinks and the staff were very hospitable. The food was served quickly and the food was good and hot. The Sunset Grill offered some really great shrimp dishes and I enjoyed their dinners a couple of evenings. They also offered karaoke and live music nightly.. I highly recommend this little gem to anyone who wants to get away for some much needed rest and quietness and I made a couple of really good friends while there that I am already in touch with. Margaret went out of her way to make sure that I had everything I needed as did Warren, her property management agent. Margaret's little condo was perfect for me, yet a family of four could stay here and be comfortable. The beds were amazing and I slept better in the one that I used than I had for a long time. The man that set up the beach chairs went out of his way to make one feel welcome as did the bartender at Sunset Grill and the two ladies at the front desk (one was from Puerto Rico and the other lady was an art student) went out of their way to answer any questions that I had and to promote the resort and the area. I strongly encourage anyone who is looking for a quiet "LAID BACK/NO HASSLES" vacation to take advantage of Margaret's condo offering. Even though it is in an older part of the resort, it is maintained and the staff is wonderful. I especially liked that the condo had tile throughout, so I did not feel quilty coming in from the beach and walking across the floor. It was very easy to clean and Margaret had provided all of the materials needed. So, if you need a quiet little place to get away from the fast paced world, see Miss Margaret!
