This is a great location ...
This is a great location on a quiet street. The owners have done a nice job on renovations. The kitchen has new appliances and just about anything else you need. Also, there are comfortable beds and a great shower for relaxing tired muscles. It will take at least a week to take in all the sites. Bring comfortable shoes and plan to walk. We recommend taking the trolley tour first so you can get an idea of what is there to see. (They will extend the 3-day ride pass to 5 if needed)The best time to bike is late afternoon although we found that the old town is not as bike friendly as it is “foot” friendly. The best gift shop we found is the city owned shop at the visitor’s center by the parking garage. Proceeds go back into the city restoration projects. They had really nice things that you don’t mind taking home. Our favorite restaurant was Harry’s. We dined there 3 times and it was great every time. Scarlet O’Hara’s has a BBQ pork sandwich that’s awesome! We enjoyed the tour of the Old Jail (Caught the trolley over) and the lighthouse tour. You will need to drive over for this and it is worth the time. The National Park beach is also nice ($5 per car) and chair/ bike rentals are available. It is just past the lighthouse.

We spent two nights here ...
We spent two nights here while attending a wedding. We enjoyed our stay. The location was in walking distance of all the amenities of town. The house was clean, cheerful, cute and cozy in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and reading between festivities. We would definitely stay here again, and do recommend it. It is a much nicer alternative to staying in hotels.

We loved our stay. St. Au...
We loved our stay. St. Augustine has become my favorite Florida city. Everywhere there is something interesting to see and do - packed with history and charm everywhere and wonderful uncrowded beaches just across the bridges (even a dog friendly beach at Vilano). Previous years we stayed in a hotel on the beach but have found renting your cottage so much more enjoyable. The location is ideal for exploring the town and your clean attractive cottage seems to have everything we could want or need. We were able to easily walk to restaurants, all the historic attractions, or just wander the quaint side streets. Even with a months stay we ran out of time before seeing everything and, of course, we really appreciated your being so welcoming and helpful Jeff. Thanks. We will be back!

Cute, Clean, Comfortable and Convenient!
My husband and I came down for some much needed R&R in our favorite FL city and this is the first time we've stayed in a vacation rental here, as opposed to a hotel. What a difference! This home is nicely-renovated, well-equipped (they even had bikes to use) and just felt like a comfortable "home away from home." We enjoyed biking around the neighborhoods downtown, eating at the many great restaurants (loved The Tasting Room, Cafe Atlantico, and 95 Cordova, among others--check Restaurant.com for discount coupons) and the historical tour of Flagler College's main building, formly the posh Ponce De Leon hotel. There is truly something here for everyone and we can't wait to come back to this property!

This coming February will be our 5th year at the cottage on Lemon Street. Needless to say it is always a pleasure to return to this clean, charming, comfortable and most of all, conveniently located home away from home. It offers every comfort we would ask for from the internet to cable TV, a well equipped kitchen, off street parking and a front porch to relax on and enjoy a warm Florida day in February.. Even after staying for a month four years in a row we still find new and interesting things to see and do in St. Augustine. I still find it the most colorful and charming of cities to visit with some of the nicest beaches. We can bicycle to any of the historical areas and sights in less than five minutes (avoiding the parking hassle) and return to a low traffic, quiet street. If you want to enjoy all that St. Augustine offers this is the perfect base and Jeff and Linda are the perfect hosts.

Second year rental...
Last year we rented this house for a few days. Liked it so much we re-rented this year for a full week. It is so great to be able to walk to town. We were 2 couples and made good use of the front porch in the evenings after returning from great dinners in town. The house is equipped with everything you could need including a computer! Cute house, ample parking and Jeff is very accommodating. St Augustine is amazing and so is this house.

Talk about comfort!
My wife and I came to St. Augustine for the first but certainly not the last time this year. We found this rental and it made the whole trip better. I will never stay in a hotel again if I can help it. The house was very cozy and more than roomy enough for us and our two young boys. Just close enough to walk to whatever we wanted but far enough away to be QUIET and RELAXING!!! The owner ( Jeff ) was awesome in making this easy and helpful in recommending things to do. The house had everything that we needed to come right in and feel at HOME! The neighborhood was very quiet and the front porch got an awful lot of use in the early mornings and of an evening. We looked at a lot of other rentals and could not beat the deal we got here! GREAT HOUSE!

Wonderful cottage
My family really enjoyed this pet-friendly cottage. The location was very convenient for us and our dogs, who enjoyed the nearby park. The home was very clean, spacious, well-furnished and equipped with appliances that looked new and worked without any problems at all.

Great location, great house
This place is ideally located - everything within walking distance. The house has everything you need including a great front porch. Unfortunately it was a little cold for us to use it much but I can see many hours of lounging around with a glass of wine. Perfect place!!

We had a great time on Lemon Street. It was so close to many great restaurants & shopping. We especially loved being in St Aug over St Patrick's Wknd. The parade & festivities were an added treat. Family & friends stopped or stayed over. It is also a couple of hours to the Arnold Palmer Invtitational mid-March. The home is very comfortable & Jeff & Linda have made sure that their guests have all they need or want. We are going back next year. Our dog Abbey said she had a good time walking on the dog friendly beach!!!

Great Home Away From Home
Best experience from booking to end of stay. Jeff made the booking process uncomplicated and easy. We totally enjoyed everything about staying in this historical home. Reminded me of where I grew up. Used front porch morning and evening, met the nice neighbor next door and our dogs loved the back alley for strolling. We also walked them every day around the neighborhoods. This home is equipped with everything you need to live there. Loved having TV in the bedroom and WIFI service. We rode the trolley 4 days but could have walked to town. This time of the year was a perfect time to visit as crowds were a minimum. We have 4 doggies (small) and it is sometimes difficult to find a place that will accommodate them. Jeff had no problem doing this. I always take sheets to cover furniture, etc. as I would want someone to do in my home. There are some renovations being done in the neighborhood but it was interesting to see

Perfect House!
My family and I just returned from our St. Augustine vacation and I could not wait to write this review. The house is just perfect in every way. It is very roomy with two good sized bedrooms and a nice big kitchen/dining/living room area. It is a pet-friendly home, but you'd never know because it smelled fresh and clean. The location was amazing....we originally planned to find a place close a trolley stop, which this house is. However, it's so close to town we just walked EVEYWHERE--St. George street, the fort, the fountain of youth...everything. Jeff, the owner, was so accomodating. He went out of his way to make us feel at home. I would highly recommend this home to anyone planning a trip to St. Augustine.

Great small house perfect walking distance from the historic downtown St. Augustine district. Just blocks from the fort! Quite neighborhood. Clean and well-kept. Owners were extremely friendly and helpful through the whole process. Everything was just right.

A nice get away!!!
We were very happy with the house. The distance to town was a short walk so the neighborhood was very quiet, yet lots to do real close. I was very happy with the owner and how he handled the situations that arose. A great deal of the amenities were there, I thought I would have to buy things I may use one but really didn't. Outside of food much of it is provided. Also, the house was beautiful and very comfortable. My family was very happy there and have recommended it to friends.

Perfect location and very comfortable!
We rented this adorable house for a week. The street was lovely. We spent our early mornings drinking coffee on the porch and the rest of our days strolling the historic district. We were walking distance to just about everything. Highly recommend if you're looking for a relaxing, convenient and comfortable place to spend your time while in St. Augustine.

Girls Weekend Get-a-way
Two of my girlfriends and I stayed at this cute little cottage Labor Day weekend 2014. It was a safe area and we walked every day to the historic area of St. Augustine - it was in a perfect, convenient location. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great little house
What a find! Within walking distance of the historic part of St. Augustine, and just off Ponce de Leon Highway. Very quiet neighborhood, with covered parking in back. Jeff's instructions were clear and we got in with no problem. Beds were comfortable, and it was great finding some feather pillows. Each bedroom had a TV, plus one in the living room. The kitchen was very well equipped. What a refreshing change to find the basics-coffee, sugar, a few spices, toilet paper and paper towels, even shampoo and body wash. Their was only one small issue which was resolved immediately, with Jeff's help. The Back 40 Urban Cafe and Crave food truck became our favorite go-to places. THE best gelato is imported from Italy and can be found at Pizza Time (both owned by Domenic from Sicily, so you know the pizza will be authentic). All are within walking distance from the house, although the Back 40 may be a bit far for some. St. Augustine was charming and we hope to be back some day to "our" house there. We highly recommend it!

Loved our stay
We stayed for a week of R & R and didn't want to drive and search for parking. This location was great. Just outside the historic hustle and bustle but close enough to walk. (which we did every day) Wifi and parking a plus in St Augustine. Landscaping needs a little tlc. We'll be back.

Hidden gem for travelers
Excellent place for those who enjoy their solitude when winding down from a busy day. Quiet neighborhood, covered parking and enjoyable walking distance to the historic district. The rooms were spacious and well provided. We were quite comfortable even with the rainy weather in winter. A lovely place to stay away from the hotel scene.

St Augustine long weekend stay
Very cute house with a big front open porch on a residential street and a ten minute walk to St George which is the heart and bustle of St Augustine..The home had an updated kitchen and comfortable living quarters. The beds were very comfortable as well.and a good size HD television in the living room. We caught some beautiful springtime weather and could of sat on the front porch sipping wine for most of the day. The restaurants we tried were fairly good and priced modestly with big back of the restaurants courtyards for eating and bringing pets and escaping the noise of St George Street.

Fantastic location, comfortable home, a peaceful and quiet neighborhood.
My friend and I stayed here for 1 week while attending a birding photofest in St. Augustine. We were both very pleased with this home and would definitely stay there again. The air-conditioning was excellent (a high priority for us) the kitchen had everything we needed, the bedrooms each had a very comfortable bed and the location was absolutely perfect. We we're an easy walk from Old Town, a minute away from highway access to fully stocked grocery stores. It was very peaceful and quiet. Thank you Jeff for a wonderful place to spend our week in St. Augustine. We definitely hope to return.
