This mid-century waterfront home is one of the few remaining original Florida cottages on Siesta Key.  Set in a woodsy enclave under live oaks and coconut palms, it includes a 200 ft dock from which swimming, kayaking and rowing are available.  The house was lovingly updated in 2023 and newly furnished.  2 baths are brand new, one is 80s-style but functioning fine.  Home includes great room, private den, 2 spacious bedrooms and 2 baths in the main house, plus laundry room.  Adjoining brand new guest house offers 600 sq feet of privacy including king size bed, ensuite, and high-end kitchenette.  Great for friends or family, or as a sequestered work-from-home unit. 

The home is 0.6 mile walk to Crescent Beach, that 3-mile gulf stretch of powdery sand that year after year wins honors as the #1 beach in America.  A beach bike will get you there in 5 minutes.  Or stay home and enjoy the bay, where dolphins are seen every morning cruising by the dock, pelicans and ospreys scoop up fish less than 40 feet away, and in the late afternoon our local raccoon goes to the shore for her sushi dinner.  The property has a sliding seat guideboat for visiting expert rowers.  Others may enjoy the double kayak.  Anglers may want to go after the blues, Spanish mackerel, pompano, or flounder that lurk in the bay grasses.

The home has amenities such as gas grill and high-speed wifi.  It is close to both CB and Suntex boat rental and 1/2 mile from the restaurants of south Siesta.  The Siesta Key trolley can be caught from the end of the lane if you'd rather ride than walk or drive.
